Newcastle United striker Loic Remy has dedicated his winner against Aston Villa to first team coach John Carver.
The long-serving United coach lost his father earlier this month and Remy's later winner was in tribute to him, says the Evening Chronicle.
United's victory was the first since Yohan Cabaye left the club to join Paris St-Germain and the first goal since the French midfielder netted against West Ham.
