Borussia Monchengladbach have made a new bid for Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen.

The young Dane is halfway through a two-season loan at Gladbach, but the Germans want to buy him outright.

Sky Deutschland says Gladbach have tabled a €17 million offer for Christensen.

However, Chelsea chiefs have refused to consider it, throwing the bid out immediately.

Gladbach chief Max Eberl has made it no secret they want to keep hold of Christensen and are willing to break their transfer record to make it happen.
