Borussia Monchengladbach are eager to keep Manu Kone off the market.

Liverpool and Bayern Munich are both chasing the France U21 midfielder, having made enquiries over the summer.

Planning for January is now underway, but Gladbach hope to secure him to a new deal.

Rheinische Post says the Bundesliga club is about to secure Koné until 2026.

Gladbach have an option to extend his deal by one year and will exercise it.

The 22-year-old arrived at Gladbach in the summer of 2021. Koné has scored four goals and two assists in 62 games for the club.
