Borussia Monchengladbach chief Roland Virkus is hopeful of keeping hold of Manu Kone.
The midfielder continues to be linked with Liverpool in the final days of the summer market.
But Virkus told BILD: " We don't need to sell him. But it has always been like this: if there is a huge offer, then we have to think about it. But that's not the plan. Our plan is to keep Koné.
" Koné is a player who has something different, he gives you as a team a better balance in midfield. He is coming back after the national team break and he is very important for us, a tough and intelligent footballer.
"We need stability in that position."
