Gladbach chief Eberl declares Oxford deal is on

Borussia Monchengladbach chief Max Eberl admits they're delighted with the progress of Reece Oxford.

On-loan from West Ham, Oxford has battled for minutes at Gladbach this season, however Eberl has hinted they're eager to sign him permanently.

"He can still become very important and has developed well. Our wish is clear that he will stay and prevail. But the last issue of action is now in West Ham's hands.

"Until today, the club has not approached us to bring him back ahead of time," Eberl stated.

"We are in exchange with his club, the agent and the player. Our intention is that he should stay here for at least the full year. We are very happy with him, even if a place is not yet available for him."
