Granit Xhaka has indicated that he has decided on a move to Arsenal.
The Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder continues to be linked with a future transfer to the Gunners while Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool reportedly remain interested.
But the Swiss international has hinted he could be set for North London in the summer as he already organised for Francis Coquelin to give up 34 which is the shirt number Xhaka has worn since his days with FC Basel.
"That was my first professional number at Basel," he told Tor Fabrik.
"It's even tattooed on my back. I would also like to wear it in the future."
When quizzed further on what would happen if he were to join Arsenal, Xhaka joked: "It was also here in Gladbach, with Amin Younes. And at Arsenal Coquelin has it.
"I've spoken with him, he would like to take another number!"
