Girona coach Michel was delighted with his players after their 5-1 win against Sevilla.

Artem Dovbyk struck a hat-trick on the day.

Michel said: "Today we played a very good match, with a great rival and great footballers. I expected it to be complicated but we have had incredible verticality. The players deserve all the praise possible, we have made history by surpassing the club's highest score in Primera.

"It is incredible at the speed that we have gone from the outside with Savinho, the speed of Portu, the duels of the centre backs, Iván catching the ball and taking it forward and Dovbyk who has a brutal ability to score goals.

"The third is brutal, one of the best we have seen. I enjoy training from Monday to Friday and the weekend too."

On the title, he added: "I see Madrid, Barça and Atlético capable of winning ten games in a row and in my head there is no demand to do this. It is only in the hands of the best in the world, the rest of us must think game by game. We have 20 points to seventh and it is a good margin and if we want the Champions League we will have to fight against greats like Real, Athletic, among others."
