Gilberto says Tottenham's Carling Cup victory is reason enough why he chose to quit Hertha Berlin last month.

"This [Carling] Cup victory shows why I left Hertha," he said.

"I wanted to play for a top team who can win the title. At Hertha the winning mentality was missing, there was too much fear sometimes.

"Hopefully soon Hertha change their mentality, the club is deep in my heart. I hope that next season we play against each other in the Uefa Cup. That would be my dream."
