Giggs: Man Utd players must help alleviate the pressure on Lukaku

Manchester United's attacking corps must score goals to help ease the load of Romelu Lukaku, according to Ryan Giggs.

The United legend did point out that Lukaku was brought to the club to continue his goalscoring exploits, but Giggs believes it is up to his new teammates to help contribute to the side.

"The main reason Jose bought Lukaku is for goals and to turn all those draws at Old Trafford into wins," Giggs told the Telegraph.

"There will be a lot of pressure and scrutiny on him but those around him also need to step up and score more.

"Juan Mata did his fair share, but [Anthony] Martial, Marcus [Rashford] and [Henrikh] Mkhitaryan have got to get double figures. So although the most pressure will be on Lukaku, the onus is on the whole team."
