Giggs eager to make Champions League history with Man Utd

Ryan Giggs says Manchester United are on a mission to retain their Champions League trophy this season.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side will seal a place in the last 16 if they beat Celtic tomorrow.

And Giggs, who won his second winner's medal in Moscow last May, insists United have the ability and star quality to make history.

Giggs, 34, said: "No team has retained the Champions League but that's our challenge.

"We need to use the experience we had last year, keep the desire and hunger that we had, and use it.

"It's not going to be easy but we feel we have a great chance."
