Ryan Giggs continues to defy his ageing years and produce things whenever Manchester United need them. The seemingly evergreen winger netted his 150th goal for his beloved Red Devils in last night's 2-1 victory over Wolfsburg, sparking his teammates to a win after going behind in the 55th minute.
But the Welshman answered four minutes later to kick start a comeback, receiving plaudits from his boss along the way.
"Ryan is unbelievable. All the superlatives and praise he's had over the years, I don't know what to add, he's been absolutely marvellous," said Sir Alex Ferguson.
"Their goal was a surprise, but that's football. I thought it was just a matter of time before we would score. We got a bit fortuitous with the deflection, but the performance deserved it and I thought our performance was very good.
"One thing this team has they never give in, they always play on. No matter what the score is, they never stop playing and that gets its rewards."
