Former Roma star Guiseppe Giannini says Paulo Dybala is the best player they've had since Francesco Totti.

Giannini admits he's a big fan of the Argentine.

He told Il Messaggero: "Dybala is a resource, if he is well he gives imagination and inventiveness, he knows how to free himself even in tight spaces.

"In terms of quality and imagination, yes. Perhaps he is the best after Francesco."

Asked if Dybala's injury record should be considered when discussing a new contract, Giannini said: "The age and environment in which he plays must be considered.

"For me he can still do two or three years at very high levels.

"A transfer to cover the economic problems? I understand that the economic aspect must be planned and evaluated, but if you look at the numbers there you realise that at the end of the championship Dybala will bring important points. Without him, we realize, Roma will struggle to create dangerous situations and shoot."
