Former Italy coach Giampiero Ventura is returning to football.

Ventura is expected to be confirmed as Chievo Verona coach after their dismissal of Lorenzo D'Anna.

Sky Sport Italia says Ventura has put pen to paper on a two-year deal.

It is his first job since he was fired as Italy coach in November 2017.

Ventura failed to get Italy to the 2018 World Cup, losing the play-off to Sweden.
