Getafe president Angel Torres says Ramon Planes leaves for Barcelona with their full support.

The sports director has left Getafe to work as an assistant to new Barca technical chief Eric Abidal.

Torres said: "With Barcelona you cannot say no, like any big team, Barcelona called me, they asked me if they could talk to him and I did not offer resistance.

"In 24 hours he told me he was leaving, as long as there were no problems, and had rejected other offers.

"We continue to be colleagues and friends and I hope that if we need something they will behave well with us, as we have behaved with them."
