Getafe president Angel Torres admits they expect to eventually sign Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
Morata has assured Torres he intends to close out his career with Getafe, having come through the club's youth system.
"Morata gave me his word that he intends to retire to Getafe. We love him," said Torres, who also discussed signing on-loan Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood.
He told Onda Cero: "The other Spanish teams didn't dare because of what the press and people were saying. We studied the problem and understood that everyone has the right to make mistakes, assuming there was something wrong.
"When he arrived there were 500 children, we are selling a lot of shirts."
