Getafe management says they want to help Mason Greenwood rebuild his career.

Greenwood moved to Getafe on a season-long loan deal on the final day of the transfer window last Friday.

The forward hasn't played for two years after being cleared of assault in February.

"We did not want to see the investigation. He has been found innocent by the courts, he is innocent just like you and me. As soon as we saw that he is innocent, we have nothing more to say," a spokesperson from Getafe told The Athletic.

The spokesperson wnt on to say that there is a clause in the loan agreement where the club can terminate the deal in January if they are not satisfied.
