Getafe coach Victor Munoz came to blows with midfielder Cosmin Contra at halftime of their defeat to Barcelona on Saturday, it has been revealed.

Marca says upon learning he was to be replaced by Esteban Granero, Contra first burst into tears in front of his teammates and then jumped his coach.

Contra allegedly threw punches at Munoz, but none connected as he was quickly stopped by teammates.

This morning, Victor insisted Contra had apologised for his outburst and added: "It is completely untrue that there was a fight."
