Getafe coach Bordalas: Mamardashvili sensational for Valencia

Getafe coach Jose Bordalas had no complaints after defeat at Valencia.

Bordalas felt Los Che goalkeeper Georgi Mamardashvili made the difference on the day.

Hugo Duro scored for Valencia's 1-0 win and Bordalas later said: "Despite the result in the second half, the team came out determined to tie the game. The lack of success, the bad decision in the last metres and the good performance of Giorgi... perhaps we could have gotten the draw.

"It was a very tough game, not because of brutality, but because it was very disputed. The team showed its face, it was emptied, this team gave everything. Despite the adversities, the casualties, how fair the squad is, nothing can be reproached.

It is true that the goal came when we were in good shape. Everything had been a set piece, they had arrived there but without clear chances. The team has been good, on an offensive level we have lacked freshness and speed. In the second half the team came in determined from the first minute to try to score a goal. The lack of success deprived us. Giorgi has been sensational."
