Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard says he'd like to see Jude Bellingham move to Anfield.

Bellingham is Jurgen Klopp's chief midfield target this summer but faces a tough challenge with the Borussia Dortmund player is also coveted by Real Madrid.

"Bellingham is an obvious one (for Liverpool)," said Gerrard. "I'm a huge fan and Liverpool lack this running number eight who arrives in the box and gets you a goal. Bellingham ticks all those boxes.

"Though Liverpool have been mid-table this season, Jude is bright enough to know they reach finals, have one of the best managers in the world and develop players.

"All he needs to do is send me his diary, I'll fly to Dortmund and take him out to dinner and bring him back."
