Germany assistant manager Danny Rohl says Timo Werner needs to work on his self-confidence.
The forward has failed to hit the lofty heights expected of him since joining Chelsea from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2020.
There are rumours Werner could soon be sold if his goalscoring form doesn't improve, and Rohl hopes he can regain some confidence playing with Germany.
Talking in an interview with The Athletic, Rohl said: "We have other forwards, like Timo Werner, who can also be a good striker.
"He needs self-confidence and I hope we can build this up in the national team.
"We can create an atmosphere for him. The first bit of feedback from him was great."
