Italian legend Claudio Gentile has told Serie A clubs to forget about Tottenham star Gareth Bale.

Bale has been linked with Inter Milan and Juventus.

But Gentile said: "Bale ... I do not think he's a champion. He's overrated. His name appeared in the limelight only because he scored three goals in the Champions League match against Inter ...

"This is not the kind of player that makes you make the leap."
