Genoa winger Francesco Modesto is being linked with Napoli.

Ever since taking over from Roberto Donadoni, Coach Walter Mazzarri has decried the lack of a left-sided midfielder or defender.

"I can confirm that a deal is practically done already," director of sport Riccardo Bigon told Radio Marte.

"Is it Modesto? Ciccio is an exceptional lad and we have a very solid rapport. Aside from how this will pan out, he'll always remain a friend."
