Genoa striker Paloschi proud of Italy U21 captaincy

Genoa striker Alberto Paloschi is proud to be Italy U21 captain.

The 21-year-old has really struggled with injury this season, scoring just twice in nine appearances in Serie A.

"I am happy," Paloschi said. "Ciro Ferrara called me as soon as he became Coach to know how I was.

"We have to win because the Under-21s have a great tradition.

"The Genoa fans expected more. Now we are safe, then we can entertain and try to make them happy.

"This club put faith in me when I wasn't playing and was injured.

"Pippo Inzaghi is still my idol. We often hear from each other. I am sure that he'll be back playing again in a little while. Milan needed him. He is a champion who can be decisive."
