Genoa striker Marco Borriello is disappointed by how he was treated at AS Roma.
Borriello reflected on his time with Roma yesterday.
"I wish I'd been given at least the chance of making a mistake, but everyone's free to make their own decisions," he said, in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I stayed at Roma, among other reasons, to change someone's mind, but I kept crashing against a wall.
"I remember that [sporting director Walter] Sabatini said in his first press conference that Borriello was a problem. They purchased [Dani] Osvaldo, [Mattia] Destro, [Fabio] Borini, [Seydou] Doumbia, and I was always the third or fourth striker, without ever being tested on the pitch."
