An American company has bought into Genoa.

La Gazzetta dello Sport says American investment firm 777 Partners has purchased a majority stake in Genoa. An announcement is expected on September 14.

Talks between the two parties have reached a final stage after several months of negotiations.

777 Partners is a Miami-based private investment firm that 'invests across a number of high growth attractive verticals with a strong focus on financial services.'

777 Partners also hold a minority share in Sevilla.
