Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has launched a furious attack on summer additions Miguel Veloso and Houssine Kharja.
Preziosi is unimpressed by the midfield pair's work rate.
“What do I make of Veloso? There are some players who don’t realise what it means to play for Genoa and in January we can make them understand,” slammed Preziosi in the Secolo XIX newspaper.
“It is better to have donkeys who run rather than thoroughbred horses who stand still. We don’t play with horizontal passes and light touches, even if they are internationals.
“People like Luca Toni and Omar Milanetto come off the bench and battle hard to turn the game around.
“Kharja is another one who, along with Veloso, has not found his form and we are struggling in midfield.
“Either they wake up before January or we will make some changes."
