Genoa president Enrico Preziosi admits they turned down a huge bid from England for Diego Perotti this week.

Perotti was a target for Bournemouth on deadline day.

"In the last hours we had an offer of €15 million for Perotti from England.

"I alerted the boy and together we decided to reject it because Genoa without Perotti is weaker," said Preziosi.

"Next week we will work to get him to sign a new contract. Let's make a sacrifice, but worth it."
