Genoa president Enrico Preziosi admits he's in the process of selling the club.
The group involved in negotiations hails from the US.
“As of today, I am the President of this club and I make the decisions," Preziosi told Telenord.
“The future is open, I hope that this time it really is a solid move, but I think that I can say there are some genuine foundations to this offer.
“I am quite tired and feel the time to leave may be approaching, but at the same time I won't leave this club to someone unprepared for the task. Genoa is a club with history, which has never gone bankrupt and deserves respect.
“The talks are ongoing and could take the club towards a future that some aren't expecting."
