Genoa are competing with Sampdoria for England defender Sol Campbell.
Samp president Riccardo Garrone is keen to bring Campbell to Italy, but it's emerged that city rivals Genoa are also keen.
Both clubs are chasing Champions League qualification this season, which is sure to be tempting for former Arsenal and Portsmouth defender Campbell.
