Genoa coach Davide Nicola says they cannot seek excuses as the Serie A prepares to restart.
Nicola admits his players simply must adjust to the demands of playing in the heat and at empty stadiums.
“We must have no excuse and no worries," he told Il Secolo XIX. “I have seen matches in Germany. It was the first championship to resume.
“So many of their conditions will be similar to what we are going to experience. Empty stadiums, space between players on the bench, no celebrations.
“It's an extraordinary situation and we need to adapt. The German has always been a championship with a lot of counter attacks, quick free-kicks and very fast football. They need to adapt.
“After an initial phase, the real Bundesliga will return, and I think the same goes for Serie A."
