Genoa director of sport Francesco Marroccu insists coach Davide Nicola will be confirmed for next season.

Nicola has revived the team since his December arrival.

“Nicola has done an excellent job and there will be no problems confirming him for next season," Marroccu told Sky Sport Italia.

“A sense of consistency in the staff is something to be treasured."

On their transfer plans, Marroccu added: “I think UEFA will have to modify the Financial Fair Play restrictions, because we can forget about paying some figures in future. Negotiations will take longer, because they'll be based far more on exchanges than cash."
