Dwight Gayle is delighted with the arrival of Andy Johnson at Crystal Palace.

One of the striker's biggest influences this season has been fellow frontman Johnson, who has been mentoring some of the younger players after eight years away from the club.

"It's fantastic to have AJ about," said Gayle to the London Evening Standard. "He's always talking to me and giving me pointers. It's always nice to have the young boys in; they give a little bit of banter. But it's important to have the older guys to settle things down when you're in sticky situations."
