Barcelona midfielder Gavi would welcome Spain teammate Martin Zubimendi to the Nou Camp.

The Real Sociedad ace has been linked with Barca as a replacement for departing skipper Sergi Busquets.

Gavi told Sport: "I understand that he is at Real. If he wants to play for another team or Barça, he will decide what he will do.

"Zubimendi is a top player, he would be a good replacement. I love him. But I insist, we have to respect him and Real Sociedad.

"We'll see in the future."
