Former Barcelona president Joan Gaspart can understand Napoli's interest in Junior Firpo.

The wing-back has been followed by the Azzurri for the past 18 months as he's struggled to establish himself.

Gaspart told TMW: "Junior Firpo at Napoli? I really like him. He's a modern and attacking wing-back, but I don't know if he's on the market.

"I understand that Napoli likes him also for the characteristics of the Neapolitan team, which expresses an offensive football."

Firpo is in his second season with Barca after coming through the system at Real Betis.
