Bolton Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside insists Owen Coyle was right to quit Burnley last week.

Asked if he could understand the reaction of Burnley fans, who regard the switch as a sideways move, he said: "Of course I can. We've been through this before ourselves.

"But business is business at the end of the day.

"Bolton Wanderers is a step up for Owen, and he wants to come here and we want him here."
