Aston Villa boss Remi Garde is eager to rebuild the relationship between players and fans.
Villa were given a standing ovation by 2,800 supporters at West Brom following a draw that illustrated plenty of commitment.
The players clapped back and Jordan Ayew and Carles Gil handed over their shirts.
"It was something I asked when I came," said Garde. "You cannot split the fans and the players.
"It's important for a player to feel you have so many people behind you. It shows they are not giving up."
