AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani admits a return for Yoann Gourcuff from Bordeaux is no guarantee.

"He's a great young talent. Just like Alberto Gilardino, but these young talents have to know that at Milan competition is fierce and therefore there is no guarantee of continuity," said Galliani.

"Will he return to Milan? We hope so, we believe that Bordeaux may not sign him permanently because £11 million is a very high price.

"But Gourcuff should know that at Milan he will return to competition with at least another three or four midfielders."
