Galliani admits AC Milan could not afford Roma signing Strootman

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani admits they couldn't afford to sign Kevin Strootman ahead of AS Roma.

Roma signed the former PSV Eindhoven midfielder last week.

"He's a really great player. We followed him for a year too, but he cost too much and we left," he told Sky Sports Italia.

"At this moment, 20million euros is too much for Milan."
