Galatasaray are chasing Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole.

The People says Turkish giants Galatasaray want to sign Cole in loan in January - and are willing to pay the majority of his £100,000 a week wages.

The former England star, who turns 31 next week, has not started a Premier League game under Brendan Rodgers, who panned his midweek League Cup display against Swansea.

Cole is keen for regular football but his lucrative long-term Anfield contract, which runs until 2014, makes a permanent move unlikely.
