Galatasaray's Kewell: Confidence is back

Galatasaray star Harry Kewell admits his confidence is back and that he is finally free from injury. The Australian international has been in stellar form for his Turkish club since leaving Liverpool, netting 12 goals in 24 games.

Kewell struggled with groin problems and other various injuries over the space of a few years but now says he has got himself back to full fitness due to plenty of hard work and is now looking on to bigger and better things with the World Cup at the forefront of his thoughts.

"What I went through takes time to get back from, but I've worked hard and I'm back to feeling good about myself," Kewell said.

"Once you feel like that, as in any walk of life, you enjoy your job and play better. It's down to feeling confident in what I was doing. It helps massively that I've got one of the finest physios (Les Gelis) in the world by my side, but I always knew I'd get back, it was just a case of getting over these little problems.

"I wouldn't say my style has changed, except maybe for when I've been injured. Hopefully I can get back to how I was, playing freely, which is what I'm working towards to be ready for the World Cup."
