Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim is happy seeing Hakan Calhanoglu join Inter Milan.

The Turkey midfielder left Terim's former club AC Milan for the Nerazzurri.

He told Gazzetta dello Sport: “I am pleased, Hakan is like a son to me.

“I've been following him since his time at Karlsruhe and he made his senior debut with Turkey when I was the national team coach.

“I still watch him with pride, he is an example for so many kids in Turkey," the former Milan coach continued.

“It's nice Hakan could choose his destiny, that's the nice thing about his transfer. I am not surprised he picked the other team of Milan, he chose Inter to remain at the top, it's understandable after four years at Milan.

“He knows the country really well and wants to remain at the highest level."
