Galatasaray have confirmed interest in Lazio attacker Mauro Zarate.

But they are unwilling to match Lazio's €12m asking price.

"We want to try and get Lazio's request down from €12m," club President Unal Aysal told Haber7.com. "If we are unable to do that then I don't see why the deal will occur.

"Real Madrid's Kaka? He is still undecided about whether to stay at Real or not," Aysal continued. "We'll do all that is possible to sign him.

"But these players are not that easy to convince, yet we'll keep trying. Zarate, however, is closer to us…"
