Former Atletico Madrid sports director Paulo Futre says there's no chance of him replacing Predrag Mijatovic at Real Madrid.

Futre, now in charge of Porto, told Marca: "No, no, no, it's impossible.

"I knocked them back as a player. I have been one of the few players who said no to Real Madrid, with a contract on the table when I was with Marseille.

"While with Marseille in November 1993 I said no to Real Madrid. These things are impossible."
