Rangers have fallen into deeper financial woe with the PLUS Stock Exchange fining them £50,000.
The sanction has been imposed 'for failing to disclose Craig Whyte's previous disqualification as a director when the businessman completed his takeover of the club in May last year.'
The Glasgow giants, who entered administration recently, have been hit with the fine and also a public censure after an investigation took place.
"The amount of the regulatory fine has been determined taking into account a range of factors including, but not limited to, the seriousness of the rule breach and the circumstances of Rangers FC," read a PLUS statement.
