Manchester United's Sir Alex Ferguson has hit back at accusations from Aalborg about an incident involving Wayne Rooney, saying they should look in their own backyard.

"Aalborg are not short of tackles are they?" Ferguson said.

"They got stuck in and the one on Carlos (Tevez) was a blatant attack. Probably what saved him was that Carlos got straight up.

"When you get games like that some players react and others don't."
