Furious Napoli fans stage protest against Koulibaly sale to Chelsea

Napoli fans staged protests at the club's training HQ on Wednesday over the sale of Kalidou Koulibaly.

The Senegal defender is departing Napoli for Chelsea in a €40m deal, with the player flying to the US to join the Blues squad.

TuttoNapoli says upon learning of the news, fans began to gather at the club's training centre to protest against the sale.

In response, Napoli sports director Cristiano Giuntioli met protesters at the entry gates and tried to calm them down.

"It's not up to us," Giintoli was overheard saying.

Koulibaly will sign a deal to 2027 with Chelsea worth €10m-a-season.
