Christian Panucci has declared he's quitting Roma after a furious row with coach Luciano Spalletti yesterday.
Panucci refused to take his place on the bench for Roma's victory over Napoli and later declared: "I have made my decision, I'm leaving Roma, as Spalletti does not respect me.
"I spent eight splendid years in Rome and I have not yet contacted any other club."
His agent also backed up Panucci's position against the Giallorossi tactician.
"Unfortunately, this is the rapport between Christian and the Coach," said Oscar Damiani. "I will try to find him a new club and at least a solution to end the season. If he does have to go, I will have to work to find an alternative.
"Roma have to be willing to release him, though, then at the end of the season he will be free to make his decisions."
