Fulham midfielder Clint Dempsey says he's improved as a player this season under manager Roy Hodgson. He told fulhamfc.com: "I've had to concentrate more on my defensive responsibilities this season; I've definitely grown as a player in that regard. Last year I was able to chip in with some goals and this year I'm able to do the same but I'm also able to do more defensively.

"It's been a great season for us and it's been a good one for me personally."
