Fulham's Bullard delighted to make comeback against West Ham

Fulham midfielder Jimmy Bullard was delighted to make his playing comeback at West Ham last weekend.

Bullard saw his first action in 16 months and he told fulhamfc.com: "It was just brilliant, especially being back at my old club, where I used to play, and all the fans were brilliant as always. It was fantastic to be out there, and I had a cheeky 15 minutes at the end, which was absolutely blinding. The Fulham fans were brilliant to me even when I was just warming up, and the West Ham fans were great to me as well. And when I went on, to get an ovation like I did, was fantastic.

"I only played 15 minutes so it was hard to get really involved as everyone was into the pace of the game when I came on. It's hard coming on into any game, let alone when you've been out for 16 months, but I did what I could. I had a good chance at the end to snatch a draw, but I didn't quite hit it as I wanted to.

"But it got deflected and I thought it was going to go in at the last minute. The main thing was being out there kicking a ball about for me, and it proves how much you've got to enjoy every minute of it because you never know what's around the corner."
