Fulham winger Alex Kacaniklic insists it was his decision to move to Burnley on-loan.

The Swede's transfer has surprised many in his homeland.

"I went in (to see manager Martin Jol) and said I want to be on loan. I wanted to get playing time and have to think about myself," explained Kacaniklic.

"So it was a good decision to go to Burnley and the Championship."
